~ Checking the programme
Operations during programmed play
When the MEMORY switch is pressed once in the stop mode, the -
Press the SKIP/SEARCH switch to skip programmed tracks.
programmed track numbers sequentially appear on the display.
The O -9 and +1 O switches on the remote control do not function
during programmed play.
Adding onto a programme
To add more selections to the next free memory position in the stop mode,
select a track number then press the MEMORY switch.
Note:
Programmed details cannot be partially deleted or inserted.
LISTENING TO TAPES
Deck 1 is for playback only; Deck 2 is for both playback and recording.

Press the EJECT button to open the cassette holder.
Load the cassette(s).
To load, place the tape with its exposed end at the bottom. After the
tape has been loaded, push the cassette holder back into position.
Both < and } indicators light, and 1 or 2 DECK indicator lights.
Set the DOLBY NR switch to ON or OFF according to whether the tape
has been recorded with the Dolby NR system or not.
Select Deck 1 or Deck 2 by pressing the DECK switch if required. (If
only one cassette is loaded, Deck 1 or Deck 2 will be selected
automatically.)
Playback commences when the PLAY } or < PIAY switch is
pressed, The } or < indicator remains lit.
Press the STOP switch to stop playback at any time.
When the end of the tape has been reached, automatic stop or reverse
will be activated.
Types of usabie tapes
The type of tape used is automatically identified by the system since
Decks 1 and 2 both employ an auto tape selection system. The following
types of tape can be used with this system.
Normal
Cr02
Note:
Cr02 tapes without sensing holes cannot be used since they cannot
be identified by the auto tape selector.
- Endless tapes cannot be used.
Do not use C-120 tapes. They may jam in the mechanism.
Auto reverse
In both Decks 1 and 2, tapes can be played back in the following 3 ways
using the MODE switch.

For listening to one side of the tape only.

For listening to both sides of the tape in succession.
If playback has been started from the reverse side, only the reverse
side will be played back.

For listening repeatedly to both sides of the tape.
Fast forward and rewind
Press the W or q switch. The or < indicator blinks.
When the tape has been wound to the end (or beginning), the fast fonvard
or rewind function will be automatically released.
Relay playback (continuous piayback on Decks 1 and
2)

Load the cassettes into both Decks 1 and 2.
Set the MODE switch to ~ .
Select Deck 1 or Deck 2 by pressing the DECK switch if required.
Press the PIAY
or < PLAY switch.
Relay playback will continue from Deck 1 (or 2) to Deck 2 (or 1) until
the STOP switch is pressed.

Note:
During cassette deck operation, if an operating problem occurs, press the
EJECT button and remove the cassette. Reinsert it completely and
resume operation.
