Interface Description
Purpose
Your Master
pro
 balance comes
equipped with an interface port for
connection to a computer or other
peripheral device.
You can use an on-line computer
to change, start and/or monitor the
functions of the balance and the
application programs.
The interface port also has
four data output port lines for the
over/under checkweighing
program.
!Warning When Using Pre-wired
RS-232 Connecting Cables!
RS-232 cables purchased from other
manufacturers often have incorrect
pin assignments for use with Sartorius
balances. Be sure to check the pin
assignment against the chart on the
right before connecting the cable,
and disconnect any lines marked
“Internally Connected” (e.g., pin 6).
Failure to do so may damage or
even completely ruin your balance
and/or peripheral device.
