Activating the Service Mode
The LP/LA balances are equipped with a service mode that enables ex-
panded calibration/adjustment functions.
The service mode only remains active until:
1. you press M to exit the menu, or
2. c is pressed when the “Service CAL Selection” menu is displayed
The weighing mode is active (0.00 g is displayed - depending on the balance
model)
Enter the service password: »202122«
(this has a higher priority than a customer password) and
Press M.
The SETUP menu is displayed and an “S” is shown in the lower left corner.
The service mode is now active.

F6 again to activate the calibra-
tion/adjustment menu.
Calibration/Adjustment in the Service Mode
Adjustment options in the service mode:
1. int. adjust *– Internal span adjustment
2. def. ext.lin.std.wt. External linearization with default weight
3. ext. linear. user wt. External linearization (enter weight value in
the INPUT mode)
4. reprotest *– Reproducibility test of the internal adjustment
5. det. int. wt. Overwrite the internal calibration weight
6. det. ext. wt. Determine and store the external weight
(user-defined weight)
7. disp. *10 10-fold increased display resolution and
SuperRange
8. ext.adj.std.wt. *– External span adjustment with stored weight
(entered in the INPUT mode)
Note: In most cases it is not necessary to use service software programs (PSION or
Sartocas) to adjust the LP/LA balances, because all necessary adjustment func-
tions are accessible when the balance is in the service mode.
You only need to use the adjustment software if the current adjustment error is
greater than 2% or if multiple adjustment steps are necessary due to unfavor-
able ambient conditions.
