1. When the meter is out of use or stays at a position for more than 15 min, the meter
will be powered off and enter the sleep mode automatically.
2. The automatic power-off function will be deactivated if the “function selection” button
is pressed to switch on the power or waken the meter in the sleep state.
Do not attempt to repair or service the meter unless you are a qualified professional
technician and have sufficient instructions for calibration, performance testing and
repair, except for replacing batteries. The recommended calibration period is 12 months.
Wipe the casing regularly with a damp cloth and a little detergent. Do not use abrasives
or solvents. If the terminal is dirty or wet, it may reduce the accuracy of reading.
Clean the terminals as follows:
1. Turn off the meter and remove the test leads.
2. Shake off the dust that may be present in the terminals.
3. Take a new cotton ball dipped in alcohol and clean the inside of each input terminal
carefully.
Maintenance
Battery replacement
If the symbol “ ” appears on the screen, the battery is out of power and shall be
replaced timely. To replace the battery, remove the screws on the battery cover, open
the battery cover, replace the old battery with a new one of the same model and ensure
the correct polarity. Refit the battery cover and then the screws.
Warning: Remove the probes from the meter before opening the battery cover or casing.
