To enter a sample ID list
1. If your PC has no IrDA interface, install the IrDA USB adapter on your PC.
2. Hold the IrDA interface of the SBS-3500 to the IrDA interface of the PC to establish
communication between the two instruments.
3. First define one or two sample IDs on the instrument, as described above. Then press <Menu>
and select “Setup > Import / Export> Send to PC > Sample-ID List”.
A dialog window appears on the PC asking if you want to accept the file.
4. Click <Yes>.
The sample ID list is transferred and filed on the desktop.
5. Open the sample ID list on your PC in a text editor and enter further sample IDs using the same
format at will.
6. Save your changes.
7. Press <Menu> and select “Setup > Import / Export > Receive from PC”.
8. Hold the IrDA interface of the SBS-3500 to the irDA interface of the PC again to establish
communication between the two instruments.
9. On the PC right mouse-click on the file you want to send and select “Send to > Infrared
Recipient”.
The sample ID list is sent to the SBS-3500 and automatically accepted.
9.3.3 Changing the Sample ID
1. Press <Menu> and select “Sample-ID > Edit ID”.
2. Select the ID you want to change and press <OK>.

9.3.4 Deleting a Sample ID
1. Press <Menu> and select “Sample-ID > Edit ID”.
2. Select the sample ID you want to delete and press
3. Select <Delete selected ID>.
4. Press <Delete> when asked if you really want to delete the selected ID.
The selected ID is deleted.
