2.10 Only carry out maintenance and
repair work on the excavator when the
work equipment is lowered to the
ground, the engine is switched off, and
the hydraulic system is relieved of
pressure.
With the engine off, lower the work
equipment to the ground and actuate all
hydraulic control levers until there is no
pressure in the hydraulic system.
Attention
When working under the raised
work equipment, it is essential to
secure the latter by appropriate
means.
2.11 Never
attempt to lift the
machine yourself or leave it in
that position for repairs.
Place pieces of wood between
the jack and the machine when
jacking up the machine. Be aware
that shifts in weight may occur.
