Why does Scheppach Power Tool stop during planing?
- JJamie ButlerSep 9, 2025
If your Scheppach Power Tool stops during planing, several factors could be responsible. The planing blade might be blunt or worn, in which case you should replace or sharpen it. The overload switch may have tripped; if so, switch the motor on again once it has cooled. Ensure the chip extractor hood or bench lock is fitted correctly so that the microswitch is pressed. You might be removing too much material, so reduce the chip removal, or the feed may be too fast, so reduce the infeed speed.
