This Instruction Book is intended
to give a basic overview of your
HANS

system and proper usage.
Because HANS
®
can be used by
any racer who wears a helmet
and a harness with two shoulder
belts, (except SCHROTH
harnessbelts with the SCHROTH-
asm
®
feature) HANS
®
must fit a
very diverse array of cockpit
configurations, driver sizes and
postures. Once an appropriate
HANS
®
has been selected with
help from trained and knowledge-
able personnel, adjustments or
changes may be required in the
cockpit. Variations to the seat,
safety harness (e.g. SCHROTH
HYBRID-H models) and safety
harness anchor points for optimal
HANS
®
system use and benefits
must be considered. These
factors will improve the HANS
®
fit
into the cockpit and onto the user.
Until the HANS
®
fits into the
cockpit, the fit on the driver can
not be successfully completed.
Do not use any
SCHROTH
harnessbelt
model with the
asm
®
feature
with a head and
neck restraint.
The extra
elongation
provided by the
asm
®
energy
converter can
impair the
effectiveness of
the head
and neck rest-
raint.

Gurte) getragen werden kann, muss HANS

für
einen weiten Bereich unterschiedlicher Cockpits,
Fahrergrößen und Sitzpositionen passen. Nachdem
Ihr HANS

mit Unterstützung der von uns ausgebil-
deten Fachleute in Größe und Gradzahl ausgewählt
wurde, kann es sein, dass Änderungen im Cockpit
vorgenommen werden müssen. Anpassung des
Sitzes, ein HANS
®
kompatibler Renngurt
(z.B. SCHROTH HYBRID-H Modell) und die
Verankerungen der Schultergurte müssen betrachtet
werden. Diese Faktoren werden die HANS
®
-
Integration und den Komfort für den Fahrer
verbessern. Bevor HANS

nicht einwandfrei ins
Cockpit passt, kann eine erfolgreiche Anpassung
