In adjusting the tether length,
make sure that the tether coming
from the helmet is on the
backside and goes from the back
to front through the slot in the
collar that is closest to the
centerline. This tether then goes
along the front side of the collar
and back through the slot that is
further from the centerline. The
free end of the tether should
extend around the side edge of
the collar and can be tucked back
under against the collar. In this
way, the tether from the helmet
bears against the free end and
holds it from sliding on the collar
when loaded.
Thread locking compound (Blue
Loctite) should be used to secure
the screws of the tether retention
bars.
Wenn die Haltebänder eingestellt werden, prüfen Sie,
ob das vom Helm kommende Halteband als oberstes
Band am HANS
®
anliegt und von hinten nach vorn
zunächst durch den Schlitz geführt ist, der meist
mittig am HANS
®
angebracht ist. Das Halteband
verläuft dann auf der Vorderseite des HANS
®
bis zum
äußerst liegenden Schlitz, durch diesen hindurch
nach hinten und wird dann über die Außenkante
des HANS
®
wieder nach vorn geführt (siehe
Abbildung oben). Durch Anziehen des Klemmbügels
wird die Länge der Haltebänder dauerhaft einge-
stellt. Dadurch, dass das lasttragende Halteband das
freie Ende einklemmt, ist das System gegen
Rutschen gesichert. Es wird empfohlen, die
Schrauben mit „Blue Loctite“ zu sichern.
