A negative result indicates a need
for shoulder belts to cross over
behind driver seat. With a
negative or cross over
configuration, wrap around
mount requires a spreader to
secure the correct distance
between the shoulder anchor
points (see picture; spreaders are
offered by SCHROTH, see list of
Racing accessories).

Because the structure of the
HANS
®
must withstand very large
loads that could otherwise injure
the user, this structure must be
designed and made to be strong
enough. Do not replace or modify
any part of the HANS
®
except for
the padding, which can be altered
to improve driver comfort.
Never try to alter the HANS
®
device structure. Any alteration or modification
to the structure can result in structural failure during an accident and will void
the FIA homologation. The protection capability would be lost and severe
head and neck injuries can occur.
Nehmen Sie niemals Veränderungen an der HANS
®
-Struktur vor! Jeglicher Eingriff in die Struktur kann während eines
Unfalles zum Bruch führen und die FIA-Homologation würde erlöschen. Die Schutzwirkung wäre verloren und schwere
Kopf- und Nackenverletzungen könnten die Folge sein.

Strength
Strukturfestigkeit von HANS
®
Da Brüche von HANS
®
eine Gefahr für den Benutzer
darstellen würden, ist die Struktur so stark ausgelegt,
dass solche Brüche unter als überlebbar geltenden
Belastungen, nicht auftreten. Mit Ausnahme der
Polster zur Erhöhung des Komforts, darf keine
Veränderung am HANS
®
vorgenommen werden!
Ein negatives Ergebnis weist darauf hin, dass die
Schultergurte über Kreuz montiert werden sollen.
In einem solchen Fall müssen per Umschlingung
befestigte Schultergurte gegen Zusammenrutschen
gesichert werden (siehe Foto; Abstandhalter finden
Sie im SCHROTH Rennsport-Zubehör).
