GEARBOX
Procedure for refilling right angle gearbox:
1. Park unit on a level surface. Install the lock pin
and block the unit to prevent falling or rolling.
2. From under the cutter, remove the blade carrier
to access the drain plug.
1. Remove the drain plug and drain out oil.
3. Reinstall the drain plug and blade carrier.
4. Remove the vent plug/ dipstick.
5. Fill gearbox until oil level reaches the fill line on
dipstick. Capacity is approximately 4.1 liters
(4.33 qt.) for the down boxes. Do not screw in
dipstick when checking oil level.
6. Reinstall vent plug/ dipstick. Dispose of old oil in accordance with the local regulations.
TEE BOX
Procedure for refilling Center Tee Box:
1. Park unit on a level surface. Install the lock pin
and block the unit to prevent falling or rolling.
2. From under the cutter, using an extension go
up through the Tee Box Mounting Tube to
access and remove the drain plug.
3. Remove the 3/8” drain plug and drain out the
oil.
4. Reinstall the drain plug.
5. Remove the vent plug from the top of the Tee
Box.
6. Fill the Tee Box to within 1” of the top. Capacity
is approximately 2.5 liters (2.64 qt.) for the Tee
Box.
7. Reinstall vent plug. Dispose of old oil in
accordance with local regulations
.
NOTE: Replace oil in all gearboxes after the first 50
hours of operation then yearly.
Check gearbox oil level frequently. Steady loss of oil
will indicate damaged seals, which should be
replaced immediately to prevent ruining the
gearbox.
