Have plenty of fresh water and soap nearby in case battery acid contacts your 2.7
skin, clothing or eyes.
Wear complete eye and body protection, including safety goggles and 2.8
protective clothing. Avoid touching your eyes while working near the battery.
If battery acid contacts your skin or clothing, immediately wash the area with 2.9
soapandwater.Ifacidentersyoureye,immediatelyoodtheeyewithcold
running water for at least 10 minutes and get medical attention right away.
Stay clear of fan blades, belts, pulleys and other parts that may cause injury.2.10
Clean the battery terminals before using the jump starter. During cleaning, 2.11
keep airborne corrosion from coming into contact with your eyes, nose and
mouth. Use baking soda and water to neutralize the battery acid and help
eliminate airborne corrosion. Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth.
Determine the voltage of the battery by referring to the vehicle owner’s manual 2.12
and make sure that the output voltage of the jump starter is correct.
Make sure that the Instant Power™ cable clips make tight connections.2.13

BATTERY STATUS BUTTON ON THE FRONT OF THE INSTANT POWER™.
The LEDlightswillindicatethechargelevelasfollows:
A red LED • indicates a 50% or less charge and you should immediately
recharge the Instant Power™.
A yellow LED • indicates a 50 to 75% charge. The Instant Power™ may
be used but should be recharged as soon as possible.
A green LED • indicates the internal battery is fully charged.
TheCHARGING(red)LED• indicates the Instant Power™ is charging
(connectedtoanACpowersource.)Atfullcharge,theCHARGED(green)
LED will light.
Charging the Internal Battery using the Built-In Charger:3.2
Tocharge,ipthechargerplugonthebackoftheInstantPower™upand1.
plugan18gauge(AWG)orlargerextensioncordontoit.(Extensioncord
notincluded;mustbepurchasedseparately).
Plug the extension cord into a 120V AC electrical wall outlet. 2.
TheCHARGING(red)LED3. will glow indicating charging.
TheCHARGED(green)LED4. will light when the battery has reached
full charge. This could take up to 72 hours due to the age and condition
of the battery. The charger will automatically go into maintain mode and
maintain the battery at full charge without damaging it.
Charge the Instant Power™ as soon as possible after use.5.
Do not use the Instant Power™ while charging the internal
battery.
