What to do if my Schumacher XPF400 Remote Starter won’t jump start my car?

  If your Schumacher Remote Starter fails to jump start your car, there might be several reasons. First, ensure the clamps have a solid, clean connection to both the battery and the frame. If the connections are reversed, disconnect and reattach them correctly. Check the battery status of the Instant Power; if it's low, recharge it. The vehicle's battery itself could be defective, so have it checked. Also, for models XPF500, XPF750, and XPF750C, make sure the Instant Power is switched to the ON position.

  If your Schumacher Remote Starter isn’t powering your 12V device, start by ensuring the device is switched on. Check the Remote Starter's battery charge status by pressing the Battery Status button. If the device draws more than 15A or has a short circuit, disconnect it and wait a couple of minutes for the internal breaker to automatically reset before trying again.
