Do you have a question about the SDC EntryCheck 918 and is the answer not in the manual?
The SDC 918 EntryCheck™ is a digital keyless entry system designed for access control applications. It features a rugged, stainless steel faceplate and is designed for mounting in a standard single-gang electrical box. The indoor backlit keys provide bright, easy-to-read graphics.
The 918 EntryCheck™ allows for programming up to 500 entry codes, each ranging from 1 to 6 digits in length. These codes can activate one or both of the system's relay outputs. A programmable "anti-passback" feature prevents the same code from being used again before a programmed time elapses.
The system includes long-lasting, solid-state LED indicators. The left indicator lights red for power and turns green when access is granted. The right indicator lights yellow to indicate a "lockout" condition (triggered by too many incorrect code entries) and flashes yellow when the keypad is in programming mode. An internal sounder provides audible feedback with each key press, and its volume can be adjusted via an internal jumper.
The SENSE input offers dual functionality:
The REQUEST-TO-EXIT input can be wired to a pushbutton to provide codeless activation of the Main Relay, Auxiliary Relay, Output #3, or Output #4 (programmable).
An ALARM SHUNT output activates when access is granted. This output can be wired to shunt alarm contacts on the access door/gate, preventing an alarm from triggering during authorized access.
The 918 EntryCheck™ is powered by a 12/24VDC or AC source. Its EEPROM memory ensures that all entry codes and programming are retained even without power. The Main Relay has a 5 Amp capacity, and the Auxiliary Relay has a 2 Amp capacity. Two solid-state outputs, capable of switching 100 mA to common, are programmable to signal various conditions such as forced entry, door ajar, lockout, alarm circuit shunting, request-to-exit, and keypad active.
