4. Dismantling the holder for mains socket and bubble level (page 7)
Pull off the modular cable (item 7.1).
Remove the screw (item 7.2) and lift off the socket housing (item 7.3) and the cover (item 7.4).
Remove the 2 screws (item 7.5) and take out the mains connection (item 7.6).
If required: Unsolder from the electronics, see section 3.
If required: Thread out the cables from the ferrite ring (item 7.7) and the cable gland (7.8).
If required: Remove the 2 plastic expanding rivets (item 7.9) (first press out the centre pins of the rivet,
then pull out the rivet). Remove the socket board (item 7.10).
Removing a defective bubble level:
Warning: Only remove the bubble level if it is defective, as destruction of the bubble level cannot be
avoided. A new bubble level can only be fitted by a skilled person working with great care!
Lever the bubble level (item 7.11) out of the its holder (item 7.12). Scrape the holder free and clean it.
5. Dismantling the display unit (page 8)
Calibrated models: Remove the approval sealing stamps from the recessed head screws (item 8.1).
Warning: Once the seals have been removed, the scale is no longer regarded as officially calibrated.
Extract the 4 plastic screws (item 8.1) and remove the 2 side covers (item 8.2).
Push the cover (item 8.3) out of the aluminium housing (item 8.4).
If required: Disengage the insert (item 8.5).
Push the cover plate (item 8.6) approx. 5 mm to the left so that the display housing (item 8.7) is released.
Take off the display housing.
Unsolder the soldered connections on the membrane keyboard (item 8.8) from the board (item 8.9) and
push the cover (item 8.6) out of the aluminium housing.
If required: Pull off the membrane keyboard (item 8.8).
Warning: The membrane keyboard is glued on and cannot be replaced in the same quality.
If required: Unsolder the cable for the battery connection (item 8.10).
Remove the 4 screws (item 8.11) and lift off the display board (item 8.9).
Remove the screw (item 8.12) and push the board holder (item 8.13) out of the housing.
Open the battery housing (item 8.14), disengage it from the aluminium housing and take it out.
Take the cable for the battery connection (item 8.10) out of the battery housing.
If required: Take off the display sticker (item 8.15).
Warning: The sticker is glued on and cannot be replaced in the same quality.
Disengage the tilt stand (item 8.16) from the aluminium housing (item 8.4).
Push the wall holder (item 8.17), if present, out of the tilt stand.
If required: Remove the housing feet (item 8.18).
