Assembly
(the references to pages and items relate to the replacement instructions drawing, Pages 5 -14)
Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly.
Please note the following points:
1. Fitting a new load cell (Page 10):
After replacing load cells, the scale must be readjusted and calibrated if required. For adjustment, please
follow our calibration instructions, document no. No. 30-34-00-672.
2. Holder for mains socket and bubble level (Page 12):
If you have dismantled the holder or fitted a new bubble level, the scale must be tested again and
readjusted and calibrated as required.
3. Housing for evaluation electronics and battery pack (Page 11):
Behind the cable gland directly in the housing, the mains socket cable must be winded on a ferrite ring
(Page 12, Item 12.7). The cable must be pulled through the ring 5 times.
When soldering the load cell, mains socket and rechargeable battery cables onto the PCB (Item 11.10)
make sure the cables are allocated correctly to the soldering pads. Solders without any fluxing agent
residues must be used.
4. Fitting the display housing (complete with joint) (Page 5):
When inserting the complete unit into the display bearing (Item 5.7), make sure the bearing bush (Page
14, Item 14.10) is fitted in the correct position to ensure that the display can be turned within the right
range.
5. Assembling the display housing (Page 14):
Prior to assembling, the complete joint unit and the bus cable must have been assembled (see Page 14).
6. Fitting the plugs (Item 7):
The plug (Item 7.13) has a hole through which the bus cable is inserted.
7. Fitting the bus cable (Page 13, Item 13.7):
After plugging the cable into the PCB (Item 13.6) it must be placed in the housing behind the plastic pins
so that the drawer (Item 13.8) and the battery compartment (Item 13.10) can still be moved after the
housing has been assembled:
When finishing the assembly, the cable is tied together with a cable tie and run through the column (Page
5, Item 5.6) so that there is enough available length at the rail (Page 5, Item 5.8) which allows the display
to be turned and the cable extending from the bottom end of the column is long enough.
