NOTES:
1. Some factors, such as high temperature and an irregular surface, can affect the accuracy, making the mower unable to avoid an
obstacle effectively.
2. Obstacles below 15 cm (5.9 in) cannot be detected by the ultrasonic sensor. If the mower does not avoid a low obstacle
automatically, please know that this is not a mower malfunction.
3. If the mower is testing the map, or in edge cut mode at the end of a mowing task, the ultrasonic sensor will not be triggered.
Ultrasonic sensor (optional)
Specific models are equipped with an Ultrasonic sensor. See 1.8 Specifications for details. The ultrasonic sensor is also sold
separately and can be installed on all Navimow models. Consult your dealer for further information.
The ultrasonic sensor uses sound waves to measure the distance from an obstacle so that the mower can avoid it automatically.
With the ultrasonic sensor, the mower can have higher safety performance and work more efficiently.
3.9 Obstacle Avoidance
Obstacle avoidance features are designed to increase the performance of your mower and your safety.
Bumper sensor
Sensors are installed inside the Navimow’s front rubber bumper to detect obstacles. When the bumper bumps into an obstacle and
triggers the sensor, the mower will go backward and avoid the obstacle.
NOTES:
Your Navimow is able to avoid objects after bumping into them. However, it is still recommended to remove excess clutter
before mowing.
If your yard has a lot of trees and continuous obstacles, we recommend that you install an ultrasonic sensor for active obstacle
avoidance.
