Select the Configuration Settings menu and ensure that Factory Logic is set to Y, as shown in
Figure 5.

Select the Phase Instantaneous Overcurrent menu and set Maximum Phase IOC 1 Pickup
(50P1P) equal to the phase instantaneous pickup, as shown in Figure 6. The instantaneous delay
can be adjusted using Maximum Phase IOC 1 Delay (50P1D). Modifications to factory logic
are necessary to set the instantaneous delay below 0.10 seconds.
Repeat this process for instantaneous ground fault protection by selecting the Residual
Instantaneous Overcurrent menu and setting Residual IOC 1 Pickup (50G1P) and Residual
IOC 1 Delay (50G1D). The phase and residual instantaneous overcurrent settings should be
determined by a power system protective device coordination study.
