Overview

This document is a user manual for the Sencor SSM 4210WH Sandwich Maker.

Function Description

The Sencor SSM 4210WH is a sandwich maker designed for indoor use to prepare toasted sandwiches. It features cooking plates with a special non-stick coating for easy food release and cleaning. The appliance is equipped with indicator lights to show its operational status: a red light indicates connection to the power supply, and a green light indicates that the cooking plates are heating or have reached the operating temperature. The sandwich maker has thermally insulated handles and a lock mechanism to secure the handles during cooking.

Important Technical Specifications

  • Model: SSM 4210WH
  • Nominal voltage range: 220-240 V
  • Nominal frequency: 50/60 Hz
  • Rated power input: 700 W
  • Cooking plates: Special non-stick coating
  • Handles: Thermally insulated

Usage Features

Before First Use:

  1. Remove all packing materials.
  2. Wipe the cooking plates with a wet cloth or sponge and dry thoroughly.
  3. Connect the sandwich maker to the power supply and let it run for 5-7 minutes to dissipate any manufacturing odors. Light smoke may be emitted initially, which is normal.

Using the Sandwich Maker:

  1. Lightly coat the cooking plates with butter or cooking oil.
  2. Plug the appliance into a power supply. The red indicator light (2) will illuminate, indicating power connection. The green indicator light (1) will illuminate, indicating that the cooking plates are heating.
  3. Close the sandwich maker for more efficient pre-heating.
  4. While the plates are heating, prepare your sandwiches. Each sandwich requires two slices of toasting bread and a filling. Place the filling between the bread slices. Avoid overfilling, as this may make it difficult to close the appliance and could cause damage.
  5. Once the cooking plates reach the operating temperature, the green indicator light (1) will turn off. It will cycle on and off to maintain the temperature.
  6. Open the sandwich maker and place one or two sandwiches on the bottom plate. Close the top plate using the thermally insulated handles (3) and secure them with the lock (4).
  7. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, then release the lock (4), open the top plate, and remove the sandwiches. If desired, continue cooking for a longer period.
  8. Use a wooden or heat-resistant plastic spatula to remove sandwiches to avoid damaging the non-stick coating. Do not use metal utensils.
  9. Before cooking another sandwich, close the appliance and wait for the green indicator light (1) to turn off, indicating it has reheated.
  10. After use, disconnect the power cord from the electrical supply.

Tips for Preparing Delicious Sandwiches:

  • Fillings can include meat, fish, cheese, smoked meat, cooked egg, fruit, or vegetables.
  • Avoid excessive filling to prevent spillage.
  • Flavor fillings with spices, herbs, mustard, or ketchup.
  • Coat the bread with butter before cooking for a golden crust.

Recipes provided in the manual include:

  • Sandwich with ham, cheese, and pineapple
  • Sandwich with tomato and cheese
  • Sandwich with chocolate cream and banana

Maintenance Features

Cleaning and Maintenance:

  1. Always disconnect the appliance from the power supply and allow it to cool down completely before cleaning.
  2. Clean the non-stick cooking plates after each use to prevent burnt food residue buildup. Use a moist, soft cloth. For stubborn residue, sprinkle with water and mild dish detergent, then wipe clean with a moist cloth. The plates are easier to clean when lukewarm.
  3. Wipe the outer surface of the sandwich maker with a soft, wet cloth and dry completely.
  4. Never rinse the sandwich maker under running water or submerge it in water or any other liquid.
  5. Do not use abrasive cleaning products, petrol, or solvents.

Storage:

  1. Once the cooking plates are cold, close the top plate and secure the handles with the lock.
  2. Wind the power cord around the bracket at the bottom of the appliance.
  3. Store the device in a clean, dry place, out of reach of children.
  4. Storing the sandwich maker vertically can save kitchen space.
