Receiver Maintenance
Be sure to turn the unit off and disconnect the AC power cord cable before maintaining the unit. Keep the unit clean. If
the surfaces are extremely dirty, wipe the unit with a dry soft cloth. Never use alcohol, benzene or other chemicals. Do
not use compressed air to remove dust. Ask the technician to maintain the unit when problems appear.

DVB MPEG-2
DVB refers to Digital Video Broadcasting, and DVB－S is one model of DVB. S stands for Satellite。MPEG is the
abbreviation of Moving Picture Experts Group, who set series of international standards for audio and video data
compression. MPEG－2 is applied to compression of digital TV signal
SUBTITLE
Subtitle refers to Words that are displayed at the bottom of the window. They are the translation version or transcription
of the discourses or remarks etc. In MPEG-2 coding format, there are as many as 32 subtitle languages.
FEC
Forward Error Correction, used to correct the errors of signal transmitted between antennae.
PID
Packed Identification, indicates the identification codes of DVB MPEG-2 AV data stream, and is used to deliver AV
signal to designated address.
LNB
Means Low Noise Block down-converter, which is applied in satellite TV (microwave) signal amplification, frequency
combination and medium frequency front amplification after first local oscillation.
QPSK,SCPC,MSPC
QPSK refers to Quadrature Phase Shift Keying, one demodulation mode, is used to demodulate SCPC and MCPC
programs.
DisEqC
DisEqC is digital coding switch, used to switch MCPC satellite signal to realize one-unit to multi-satellite reception.
Go To X
Go To X is one sort of automatic satellite positioning/ tracing, used to help adjust the longitude and latitude of the
parabolic-torus antenna to position the satellite.
