Subfault: 42.3
Description: Standard lag error
Response: Output stage inhibit
Cause Measure
A lag error has occurred outside a positioning
process.
Incorrect encoder connection.
Check the connection of the encoder.
Position encoder inverted or not installed cor-
rectly at the track.
Check the installation and connection of the posi-
tion encoder.
Wiring faulty. Check the wiring of encoder, motor, and line
phases.
Acceleration ramps too short. Extend the acceleration ramps.
P component of the position controller too small. Set P component of the position controller to a
larger value.
Speed controller parameters set incorrectly. Check controller parameters.
Value of lag error tolerance too small. Increase the lag error tolerance.

Response: Remote – critical fault
Cause Measure
Overcurrent phase U. – Rectify the short circuit.
– Connect a smaller motor.
– Increase the ramp time.
– In the event of a defective output stage, contact
SEW‑EURODRIVE Service.

Response: Remote – critical fault
Cause Measure
Overcurrent phaseV. – Rectify the short circuit.
– Connect a smaller motor.
– Increase the ramp time.
