FUEL AND CHAIN OIL
Always use a fuel container with an anti-spill valve.
Never refuel the machine while the engine is running.
Always stop the engine and let it cool for a few minutes be-
fore refilling with mixed fuel.
Make sure there is plenty of ventilation when refilling or mix-
ing fuel (petrol and 2--stroke oil).
Move the machine at least 10 feet (3 meters) from the refu-
eling point before starting it.
Never start the machine:
If you have spilt fuel on it. Wipe off the spillage and allow
remaining fuel to evaporate.
If you have spilt fuel on yourself or your clothes, change your
clothes. Wash any part of your body that has come in contact
with fuel. Use soap and water.
If the machine is leaking fuel. Check regularly for leaks from
the fuel cap and fuel lines.
Avoid all skin contact with fuel. Fuel is a skin irritant.
FUEL SAFETY
WARNING: Gasoline is very flammable. Avoid smoking or
bringing any flame or sparks near fuel. Make sure to stop the
engine and allow it cool before refueling the unit. Select outdoor
ground for fueling and move at least 3 m (10 ft) away from the
fueling point before starting the engine.
RECOMMENDED MIXING RATIO - GASOLINE 25 : OIL 1
Only use Unleaded 95 Fuel (Standard)
and Synthetic 2-stroke oil.
Exhaust emission are controlled by the fundamental engine
parameters and components (eq., carburation, ignition timing
and port timing) without addition of any major hardware or the
introduction of an inert material during combustion.
If you use a gasoline of a lower octane value than prescribed,
there is a danger that the engine temperature may rise
and an engine problem such as piston seizing may
consequently occur. Unleaded gasoline is recommended
to reduce the contamination of the air for the sake of your health
and the environment.
