Why is my Shark Vacuum Cleaner not picking up debris?
    • M
      Maria FosterAug 9, 2025
If your Shark Vacuum Cleaner isn't picking up debris and has no or light suction, several factors could be the cause. Start by checking the filters to see if they require cleaning. Follow the instructions for rinsing and completely air-drying the filters before placing them back in the vacuum. Also, the dust cup might be full, so empty it. Inspect the floor nozzle and the connection between the handvac and wand for any blockages and clear them if needed. Finally, remove any string, carpet fibers, or hair that may be wrapped around the brushroll and Soft Roller or trapped behind the Soft Roller.

What to do if my Shark IF250 Vacuum Cleaner turns off on its own?
    • B
      bonnie29Aug 17, 2025
If your Shark Vacuum Cleaner turns off on its own, the causes may be blockages, ION Power Pack issues, or overheating. First, check the LED lights on the ION Power Pack to see if it needs to be recharged. If the power pack does not need charging, turn off the vacuum and remove the power pack. Empty the dust cup and clean the filters. Check the wand, accessories, and inlet openings and remove any blockages. Allow the unit and ION Power Pack to cool for at least 45 minutes, until they return to room temperature. Then, return the power pack to the vacuum and press the Power button.

Why is the brushroll/soft roller on my Shark IF250 Vacuum Cleaner not spinning?
    • A
      Amy ThompsonAug 25, 2025
If the brushroll or Soft Roller on your Shark Vacuum Cleaner isn't spinning, it could be due to a blockage. If the Brushroll Indicator Light on the floor nozzle turns red, the brushroll and/or Soft Roller have stopped spinning. Immediately turn off and remove the ION Power Pack from the handheld vacuum and remove the blockage before reconnecting and turning the vacuum back on. Also, if the headlights are not illuminated, there is a connection issue between the handheld vacuum, wand, and nozzle. Try disconnecting and reattaching the pieces.

What does it mean when the LED lights on my Shark IF250 Vacuum Cleaner ION Power Pack are flashing?
    • D
      David BruceAug 31, 2025
If the top 2 or bottom 2 LED lights are flashing, call Customer Service at 1-800-798-7398. If the bottom LED light is flashing, the ION Power Pack needs to be charged. If the top and bottom LED lights are flashing, the ION Power Pack temperature is not optimal, so charging is temporarily paused. Leave the power pack plugged in and charging will resume soon.
