The battery pack is not waterproof.

Before attaching or removing the battery pack, turn off
the power, turn the back side of the handset up, and
remove the back cover (

P. 31 "Removing the
back cover"). Hold the handset securely with your hand.
After attaching or removing, attach the back cover (

P. 31 "Installing the back cover").

With the recycle mark side turned up, place the
connecting terminal of the handset to those of the
battery pack and attach the battery pack.

Use the tab on the battery pack for removing. Hook
the tip of a finger into the tab without applying
excessive force, and lift up while gently pressing in
the direction of the connection terminal.

Using unnecessary force when attaching or removing
the battery pack may damage the connector terminal
on the handset.
