If the copy image is longer than the document, move the unit in
the direction of B.
If the copy image is shorter than the document, move the unit in
the direction of A.
(The length varies in steps of 0.2% by every 1 marking.)
Note: Under any circumstances, the red lens CCD unit
fixing screw should not be removed.
(2) Adjusting magnification in sub-scanning
direction
1 Lay a scale on the document table and execute SIM 48-02. The
machine enters the warm-up cycle and the ready lamp comes on.
At the same time, the current magnification setting is displayed
(any of 0 – 20). Make a normal (100%) copy and find the copy
magnification correction rate.
Copy magnification correction rate (MRCP)
=
the size of document – the size of copy image
the size of document
× 100 (%)
2 Change the displayed value by using the copy magnification cor-
rection rate obtained in step 1.
(Input value) = (preset value) + (copy magnification correction
rate %) × 10
Example 1: 20 = 10 + 1 × 10
Example 2: 10 = 10 + (–1 × 10)
Enter the input value and turn the print switch ON. The entered
value is stored in memory and the ready lamp goes out.
3 Release SIM 48-02.
(Note): Remember that the entry of simulating setting is up to 20.
