A copy showing a checked pattern in self-printing mode is made.
(Example)
6 Loosen the laser unit fixing screw.
If θ > 90°, move the laser unit in the direction of B so that θ is 90°.
If θ < 90°, move the laser unit in the direction of A so that θ is 90°.

(1) Adjusting magnification in main scanning
direction
1 Lay a scale on the document table, as shown below.
2 Make a normal (100%) copy of A4 or letter size paper.
3 Compare the length of the scale image on the copy with the length
of the actual scale.
4 Find the copy magnification correction rate in the main scanning
direction by using the following equation.
Copy magnification correction rate in main scanning direction
=
the size of document – the size of copy image
the size of document
× 100%
(Example)
Put a scale on the document so that the 50-mm marking is positioned
at the center of the document.
Copy magnification correction rate in main scanning direction
=
100 − 98
100
× 100 = 1
5 Remove the right and left document guides and remove the table
glass.
6 Remove the dark box cover.
7 Draw lines on the lens CCD unit fixing plate, as shown below.
8 Loosen the three red screws securing the lens CCD unit fixing
plate.
