Removing Paper Jams
Removing from the Fusing Unit
CAUTION
The inside of this machine becomes very hot. Do not touch the parts labelled “ • “
(indicating a hot surface).
Some of this machine’s internal components get very hot. For this reason, take care •
when removing misfed paper. Not doing so could result in burns.
Since the temperature around the guide is high, wait for it to cool before checking for jammed •
paper.
Pull the opening lever on the front cover, and then carefully
lower the front cover.
Lower the fusing unit levers.

Pull out the jammed paper carefully.
Pull the paper downward to remove it. Do not pull it upward.
If you cannot fi nd the jammed paper, check for it by pulling down the
guide.
