4.3 INSTRUCTION OF
OP
CODES AND EXECUTION TIMES
The following section gives a summary
of
the Z-80A instructions set. The instructions are logically arranged into
groups
as
shown on tables 4.3-1 through 4.3-11. Each table shows the assembly language mnemonic OP code, the actual
OP code, the symbolic operation, the content
of
the flag register following the execution
of
each instruction, the num-
ber
of
bytes required for each instruction
as
well
as
the number
of
memory cycles and the total number
of
T states
(external clock periods) required for the fetching and execution
of
each instruction. Care has been taken to make each
table self-explanatory without requiring any cross reference with the test or other tables.
