Turn
on
the
power
switch
and
put
an
LP
record
into
the
unit.
Push
the
cue
key
to
keep
the
tonearm
in
cue-up
mode.
Close
the
turntable
chassis,
and
push
the
play/cut
key
to
see
that
the
tonearm
is
moving
from
the
rest
position
to
the
LP
lead-in
position.
.
Operate
both
the
cartridge
forward
and
reverse
keys
to
allow
a
forward/reverse
motion
of
the
tonearm,
then
check
that
the
tonearm
clamping
wire
is
having
a
proper
tension.
After
that,
bring
the
tonearm
to
the
lead-in
position
and
turn
off
the
power.

Loosen
the
screws
at
the
side
A
(or
side
B)
tonearm
clamp-
ing
wire
to
allow
motion
of
the
tonearm.
At
the
time,
hold
the
tonearm
base
with
hand
so
as
to
prevent
the
cartridge
(stylus
tip)
from
touching
the
record
surface.
.
Secure
the
screws
so
that
the
stylus
tip
is
at
the
central
part
of
the
lead-in
position
as
shown
in
Fig.
40-1.
At
the
time,
hold
the
tonearm
base
with
hand
so
as
to
prevent
the
stylus
tip
from
touching
the
record
surface.
.
Again
turn
on
the
power,
push
the
play/cut
key,
then
see
the
stylus
tip
is
moving
down
to
the
central
part
of
the
lead-in
position.
If
not,
push
the
play/cut
key
to
cause
the
tonearm
to
return
to
the
rest
position,
then
repeat
Steps
2
to
6
above.
Or
use
the
fine
adjusting
screw
to
correct
it.

Put
an
EP
record
into
the
unit,
and
take
the
same
pro-
cedures
as
mentioned
above.
APSS
SENSOR
POSITION
ADJUSTMENT
1.
Put
an
LP
record
into
the
unit
and
place
the
unit
in
APSS
play
mode
where
the
desired
program
of
a
record
is
auto-
matically
searched
out.
Then
check
if
the
stylus
tip
is
moving
down
to
the
central
point
of
the
space
between
two
programs
when
the
program
you
want
to
listen
to
is
de-
tected.

If
the
stylus
tip
moves
down
not
to
the
central
point
of
two
programs
but
to
the
point
nearer
to
the
previous
program,
turn
the
adjusting
screw
in
the
direction
A
shown
in
Fig.
40-2
to
allow
the
stylus
tip
to
move
down
just
to
the
central
point
of
two
programs.

If
the
stylus
tip
moves
down
not
to
the
central
point
of
two
programs
but
to
the
point
nearer
to
the
next
program,
turn
the
adjusting
screw
in
the
direction
B
shown
in
Fig.
40-2
to
allow
the
stylus
tip
to
move
down
just
to
the
central
point
of
two
programs.

When
turning
the
adjusting
screw,
move
it
gradually
with
each
turn
being
limited
to
90°.
