  If your Sherwood Stereo Receiver fails to power on and neither the FLT nor ST-BY LED lights up, examine the AC cord, check the Power Trans (Main/ST-BY), and inspect the fuse for any disconnection. Also, verify all connectors for disconnection or disjunction and ensure they are properly inserted. The Stany-By switch may be inferior, or there may be an issue with the µ-COM I.C & Resonator. Check µ-COM IC B+(5)V and the µ-COM clock pulse.

  If the tuner sound is dead on your Sherwood Stereo Receiver, with either L/R, Left, or Right channels not working, the MUTE TR may be inferior. Check for any connector disconnections or disjunctions and ensure they are properly inserted. Also, the FM DET COIL, AM IFT COIL, or MPX I.C might be faulty. Verify the MPX I.C signal IN/OUT terminal and its driving voltage (+9.1V).

  If the AMP sound is dead on your Sherwood Stereo Receiver, with either L/R or just the Left channel not working, the Signal Mute TR's may be inferior. Also, check for any connector disconnections or disjunctions, and ensure they are properly inserted.
