Figure 64 - Throttle Adjustment
3. To shorten outer cable release the adjusting
screw of throttle wire.
4. Use the same procedure for adjusting maximum
speed on the foot throttle pedal stroke.
VALVE CLEARANCE(LASH)
Correct valve clearance is one of the most impor-
tant factors of good engine performance. Excessive
clearance will cause the engine to operate exces-
sively noisy, and insufficient clearance will cause
poor performance. Because of this, it is extremely
important that care be used when adjusting valve
clearance.
Checking and Adjusting Valve Clearance
Check
and adjust the valves every 600 hours. The clear-
ance check and adjustment should be made with
the engine cold.
1. Remove the valve rocker arm cover.
2. Check each pair of valves when the corre-
sponding piston is on top dead center on the
compression stroke (both valves closed).
Check the clearance of each valve with a feeler
gauge, Figure 65.
The setting should be :
Intake 0.2mm (0.008)
Exhaust 0.2mm (0.008)
3. If the clearance is incorrect on any valve, turn
the adjusting screw at the push rod end of the
valve rocker arm either into or out of the arm
while checking for correct clearance with the
feeler gauge.
4. Install the rocker arm cover. Use a new gasket if
the old one is damaged. Tighten the cover
bolts evenly.

CHECK WHEEL BOLT TORQUE
NOTE: Check wheel bolt torque after the first 50
hours operation and every 200 hours thereafter.
Additionally, tighten the wheel bolts to the specified
torque any time the wheel assembly is removed
from the tractor or the bolts are loosened.
Front Wheel Torque Rear Wheel Torque
59 - 74 Nm
(43 - 54 ft.lbs.)
93 – 118 Nm
(67 – 87 ft.lbs.)
Check wheel bolt torque daily until stabilizes.
