Installation/removal
Installing the battery mount
` BM-E8010 / BM-E8016
The SHIMANO original tool TL-BME02 can be used to easily determine the installation location
for the key unit.
NOTICE
• The lower case of the BM-E8016 is composed of two parts: a metal part secured to the
frame with a screw, and a plastic cover. The metal part and plastic cover may separate
before the procedure in step 5. Make sure to confirm that the plastic cover has not
become detached before step 5. If the plastic cover has become detached, install the
upper case with the plastic cover and metal part combined in step 5. If it is difficult to
install the plastic cover to the metal part secured to the frame, return to step 1 and
install to the frame with the metal part and plastic cover combined.

1. Install the lower case.
(1) Set the lower case on the lower side of the down tube, then temporarily install the
mounting screws.
* Temporarily install the two types of screws as shown in the figure.
(2) Tighten lower case mounting screw A.
