 Apply the two labels supplied “Notes for ATEX II 3G/3D” in a language the operating
personnel can understand and such that they are clearly visible near the device or the
electrical device connections (1 × for sender, 1 × receiver)!
4 Care and maintenance
During care and maintenance of the C4000 – ATEX II 3G/3D safety light curtain, observe
the following notes in addition to the information in the underlying operating instructions.
Risk of static charging!
Only clean device front screen and housing with damp cloth!
The front screen and the housing coating on the C4000 – ATEX II 3G/3D safety light cur-
tain are made of plastic and can become electrostatically charged. On using the device in
such an explosive area, you must prevent this static build up.
 Only use damp cloths for cleaning.
For this purpose, SICK offers the antistatic plastic cleaner (SICK part number 5600006)
and the SICK optical cloth (part number 4003353).
