2 Product description
The PGT-10-Pro is a programming tool that you can use to easily program programma‐
ble SICK encoders (see “Technical Data”).
Programming can be carried out in the office, in the production plant or outdoors.
PC/laptop and mains connection are not required.

An adapter cable can be ordered from see www.sick.com.
Please check the delivered parts upon receipt. In particular, make sure that the adapter
cable is suitable for the encoder.
CAUTION
Only use an adapter cable that is suitable for the encoder (see “Connection Diagrams”).
The programming tool must only be used with the designated adapter cables. Other
adapter cables are not permitted. Otherwise, this could result in damage to the pro‐
gramming tool and/or the encoder.
3.1 Accessories
Required accessories are suitable adapter cables.
A list of suitable adapter cables can be found under the connection diagrams (see
“Facilities for Connecting”).
