6 Description of Operation
6.1 Selecting the Menu Language
NOTE
Changing the menu language does not affect the Setup menu. This is always displayed
in English.
•
Select Setup Menu in the main menu.
•
Select the desired menu language under Set Menu Language.
6.2 Individual Programming
Preparation
WARNING
Only use an adapter cable that is suitable for the encoder (see “Facilities for Connect‐
ing”).
The programming tool must only be used with the designated adapter cables. Other
adapter cables are not permitted.
Otherwise, this could result in damage to the programming tool and/or the encoder.
•
Connect the encoder to be programmed to the PGT-10-Pro (see “Connecting to the
Encoder”).
Transferring the Parameter Value
•
Set the desired parameter value or select a value from the parameter values
provided (see “Programmable Parameters”).
•
Confirm the prompt Program this parameter to Encoder by pressing the Enter
pushbutton to program the encoder with the current parameter value (see “Control
Elements”). Once the device has been programmed successfully, a confirmation
message will be displayed.
Once you have transferred all the desired parameter values, the encoder is fully pro‐
grammed and ready to use.
Alternatively, if you have saved a parameter set in the internal memory or on the SD
card, you can configure the encoder using the Read Configurations from ... and Show/
Program Configuration File from ... functions (Storage Access! Program from or Save
to Memory/SD-Card menu item).
