4 Commissioning
4.1 Inserting/Replacing Batteries
Only use leak-proof and mercury-free alkaline batteries or suitable lithium rechargeable
batteries.
CAUTION
Take care not to damage electronic devices and connections!
CAUTION
Observe the ESD protection.
NOTE ON BATTERY DISPOSAL
Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste! Please contact your local
waste authority.
Insert the supplied batteries into the housing of the PGT-10-Pro to establish the voltage
supply:
Open the battery compartment cover on the rear of the housing.
Insert the batteries into the battery holders. Ensure that the polarity is correct.
Close the battery compartment cover.
NOTE
During programming, power is supplied to the encoder via the PGT-10-Pro.
4.2 Inserting/Removing the SD Card
Open the battery compartment cover on the rear of the housing.
Push the SD card into the card slot until it clicks into place.
To remove the SD card, the card must be pushed slightly further into the card slot
until it is released.
Close the battery compartment cover.
