12. Transfusion Pole (Optional Extra)
The safe working load of the transfusion pole is 10kg, however no more than 3kg
should be hung from each hook. The pole should be inserted into one of the sockets
found to the head end of the mattress platform and the handwheel tightened.
13. Do’s & Don’ts
Do ensure you read these instructions and fully understand them before using the cot.
Do ensure the cot is cleaned on a regular basis.
Do ensure the cot is inspected on a regular basis (minimum once yearly service).
Do ensure that all the control plugs are pushed home firmly.
Do ensure the mains lead is plugged into the mains supply.
Do Not exceed the safe working load of 160kg (25 stone) when the mattress
platform is flat and 50kg (8 stone) when in tilt.
Do Not store any items under the cot.
Do Not allow children to play with or under the cot.
Do Not use the cot if the actuators make any unusual noises, smells or become
excessively hot.
Do Not allow any part of the cot or mattress to come into contact with any naked
flame or excessive heat sources.
