Within the European Union, the marked
equipment is covered by "Directive 2002/96/EC
of the European Parliament and of the Council
of 27 January 2003 on waste electrical and
electronical equipment."
Amended by "Directive 2003/108/EC" (WEEE).
XRecycle devices, batteries and accessories
according to national regulations.
The CE mark indicates conformity with the
following European directives:
2006/95/EC (valid until April 19th, 2016) or
2014/35/EU (valid from April 20th, 2016) on electrical
equipment designed for use within certain voltage limits,
2004/108/EC (valid until April 19th, 2016) or
2014/30/EU (valid from April 20th, 2016) on
electromagnetic compatibility, and
2011/65/EU RoHS concerning the restriction
of hazardous substances.
