3.1.4 Primary and secondary air intake
Primary air intake
In rooms with an air conditioning system or a ventilation system(4), the primary air
intake(1) is at the extraction point(3) or in the extraction duct. This means smoke
can be detected quickly.
Secondary air intake
When the air conditioning system or ventilation system is switched off, smoke is
detected by the secondary pipe system(2).
