Changing the telephone PIN
Important functions/settings are protected by the handset’s
telephone PIN (

b Enter the current telephone PIN and
confirm (factory setting: 0000).

Enter the new telephone PIN (4 digits)
twice

b Save the new telephone PIN.
Activating direct station selection
This function is not available in all countries!
When direct station selection (DSS) is active,
every key-
stroke
triggers a call to the DSS number
saved
. This
function is used to call for help or raise an alarm. You can still
be reached, however. Simply press the talk key
D
to
accept a call.
Saving/changing/deleting a DSS number:

Press the set key.

b Select the function.

b Enter the telephone PIN and confirm
(factory settings: 0000).

b Press the keys shown.
P
Enter or change the DSS number or press

to delete it.
b Save the DSS number – direct station selec-
tion is activated.
Do not forget your telephone PIN!
The PIN can only be
reset by calling the
Siemens hotline
, see back cover.
The telephone lock is activated if you press

when the _
(empty) icon is displayed.
