The following sections detail how to access and use these specialized tools to
maintain and troubleshoot an NK8000 network and its components.
Both tools have the same NW8204 functionalities.
Note: Many of the functions detailed are available in Composer.

9.3 The NW8204 diagnostic tool
The NW8204 is a powerful diagnostic tool. In the event that a problem occurs
during or after NK8000 configuration, you can use the NW8204 diagnostic interface
to locate where the problem occurred and resolve it.
Since the NW8204 tool is designed mainly for customer support / technical use,
this guide covers only the most important features used for troubleshooting.
CAUTION
Do not use the NW8204 for downloading firmware or configuration files to the
NK8000 units! If the files to download are corrupted, the error is not notified and
the NK8000 unit will stop working.
You access the NW8204 tool by installing and then launching the application on
the host DMS, or by launching the NK8000 Web Server application via Internet
Explorer.
