The following provides you with product information about the PROFIBUS bus connector
with/without PG socket up to 12 MBaud 6ES7972-0Bx12-0XA0:
You can use the PROFIBUS bus connector to
• Connect stations with an electrical 9-pin D-sub interface according to IEC 61158-2 directly
to the SIMATIC NET PROFIBUS lines.
• Electrical segments or individual stations can be connected to the Optical Link Module
(OLM, OBT).
• Stations or programming devices are connected to the repeater.
