10 Connecting Low DC Power
CAUTION!
Electrical hazard – risk of damage to equipment. Do not connect AC power cables to a 12, 24 or 48 VDC
power supply terminal block. Damage to the power supply may occur.
CAUTION!
Electrical hazard – risk of damage to equipment. In normal operation, the jumper between the chassis
ground and surge ground terminals must be installed for proper operation. Damage to the device may
occur otherwise. Removing the jumper may also void the warranty.
NOTE
The RUGGEDCOM RX1512 works with both positive VDC power supplies and negative VDC power
supplies.
NOTE
For information about how to safely test the dielectric strength of the device, refer to Section2.5.2,
“Testing Dielectric Strength” .
1. Connect the power supply terminal block to the device.
