5.2 Types of installation

Note
You must not install the device on a wall in hazardous areas.
5.2 Types of installation
For the device, you have the following options:
• Wall mounting
• Installation on a DIN rail
– With a DIN rail mounting adapter
– With a bracket support and the DIN rail mounting adapter for space saving 90°
mounting, see Accessories (Page 21)
Note
Installation pointing upwards when using the device according to UL
Installation pointing upwards (e.g. desktop operation) is not permitted for this device.
Note
The device is only approved for operation in closed rooms. Pay attention to the ambient
and
environmental conditions (Page 69).
Antennas, in particular directional antennas, must be mounted in keeping with their
characteristics (refer to the technical specifications of the antenna under Radiation
pattern dia
grams).
