The permitted electric potential difference allows an externally supplied voltage to be present at the inputs/outputs even in
switched-off state.
Safety in hazardous areas
If the device is intended for use in hazardous areas (gas-air or gas-dust mixture), note the specific details in the

You can recognize that the device is intended for use in hazardous areas from the Ex marking in the EC Declaration of
Conformity, in the associated certificate or on the nameplate.
-specific requirements for the operator also apply when a product is used in a potentially explosive
atmosphere (e.g. Directive 1999/92/EC for the EU).
Laser
The BusAdapter connects the IO device to the IO controller (CPU) via PROFINET IO. The BusAdapter selected for PROFINET IO
determines the cable types used to connect the interface module to the fieldbus.
BusAdapter contains a laser system and is classified as a "CLASS 1 LASER PRODUCT" according to IEC 60825-1

4 Transport and storage
Note
Ensure that the permissible transport and storage conditions are observed. Improper storage may affect the service life of the
products. These can be found in the technical specifications for the respective products.
Tipping or falling of the housing/control cabinet may result in serious injury or death.
• Only qualified personnel are permitted to participate in transporting the control cabinet.
• Properly secure the control cabinet before every transport.
• Do not attempt to hold or secure the control cabinet yourself during transport.
• Always maintain a safe distance from the control cabinet while it is being transported.
• Never stand under suspended loads.
• Never pass in front of a moving load.
