3.3.4 Connecting a programming device
A programming device provides the following options:
● Transferring projects.
● Transferring device images.

Note
A programming device cannot be used to reset the HMI device to factory settings.

1. Shut down the HMI device. Make
sure that the DIP switch on the rear
panel of the HMI device is in the
position shown.
2. Connect an RS 485 PROFIBUS
connector to the HMI device.
3. Connect an RS 485 PROFIBUS
connector to the programming
device.
