Preparing for mounting
Requirements
Before mounting, remove all packaging components and protective films.
You need the following for mounting:
● The fastening materials from the accessory kit
● The bottom cover or base adapter from the product package of your PRO device
● A T20 screwdriver
Preassembling the handles
The handles can be adjusted to fit your SIMATIC PRO device.
Proceed as follows:
1.
Bring the handles to the desired position.
2.
Fasten the handles with the 4 supplied screws
M4x20, torque 1.5 Nm
Preassembling the keyboard tray
Install the front USB ports or rear USB extensions before mounting the keyboard tray on a PRO device or Extension Unit.
NOTICE
Front openings for USB ports and rear openings for cable glands
The screwed openings on the front are provided exclusively for installation of the USB port with article number
6AV7674-1LX00-0AA0. The fitted cover supplied with the USB port is not needed.
If a USB connector is connected to the front USB port during operation, the IP65 degree of protection is no longer fulfilled.
To guarantee IP65 degree of protection during operation, use the openings on the rear of the keyboard tray. The rear
openings are suitable for standard cable glands with thread M20x1.5.
