Configuration
Not permitted: Operation of several 12-pulse systems on a common 12-pulse transformer
The operation of several 12-pulse systems on a common 12-pulse transformer (see figure
below) is not permitted. This can cause balance currents, which can result in a blown fuse or
even damage (e.g., thyristor damage).

However, you can connect devices in parallel according to Figure 3-4 Parallel connection of
additional SINAMICS DCM devices in 6-pulse operation (Page 14) or Figure 3-5 Parallel
connection of additional SINAMICS DCM units in 12-pulse operation (Page 15).
