3.4.1 Description of the components
3.4.1.1 DC/DC converter
DC/DC converters are used to provide a stable and reliable 24 V power supply for the TM15/
TM31 terminal module, the circuit breaker, and the SIMATIC S7 (optional).
3.5 Options
3.5.1 V circuit (option A45)
For certain damage to a subconverter of the power unit, by employing a circuit change you can
continue to operate the cycloconverter with reduced power.
The installation of the V circuit is described in Section "Installing the V ring (Page 101)".
3.5.2 Cabinet anti-condensation heating for the power unit (option L55)
The anti-condensation heating is used at low ambient temperatures and high levels of humidity
to prevent condensation from forming. The heating is controlled via a thermostat. The heating
is externally supplied with power.
3.5.3 Dust protection (option M11)
To prevent dangerous dust deposits from accumulating in the power unit components,
additional filter mats are attached to the outside of the device.
A differential pressure technique continually determines the amount of dust in the filter mats.
When the differential pressure switch responds, a fault message is output and the converter is
switched off.
