Principle
Your SINUMERIK 840D sl with ShopTurn was designed using the
latest technology and the recognized safety regulations, standards
and other regulations.
Supplementary devices
Siemens offers special supplementary devices, systems, and serial
model modifications that can be used to specifically expand the
Siemens control systems in their area of application.
Personnel Only properly trained, authorized, reliable personnel must be
allowed to use this equipment. No-one without the necessary training
may be allowed to operate the control, even temporarily.
The areas of responsibility assigned to personnel involved in setting
up, operating and maintaining the equipment must be clearly
specified and their compliance verified.
Procedure Before the control is started up, personnel responsible for its
operation must have read and understood the Operator's Guides. The
company using this equipment is also obliged to carry out continuous
monitoring of the overall technical condition of the control (with a
view to identifying externally visible defects and damage as well as
changes in the operating behavior of the control).
Servicing
Repairs must be carried out according to the information supplied in
the service and maintenance guide by personnel who are specially
trained and qualified in the relevant technical subject. All relevant
safety regulations must be followed.
The following are deemed as improper usage and exclude the
manufacturer from all liability:
Any usage or application incompatible with or beyond the scope
of the items specified above.
If the control is not in perfect technical condition or if it is not
operated safely while keeping the inherent risks in mind and
observing all instructions and the operating manual.
Cases where faults, which could affect safety, are not remedied
before starting up the control.
Any modification, bypassing or decommissioning of
equipment on the control whose intended purpose is to ensure
proper functioning, unrestricted use of equipment and/or active
and passive safety.
